It was
another gorgeous sunny day at the lab today. The PEARL-GBS was working
(well mostly), and Cristen was able to join the FTIR team in making
direct sun measurements during the day. Rodica and Felicia collected 54
and 52 spectra respectively, with Rodica and I fortunately managing to
convince the Bruker to temporarily put aside its detector-selector
issues. Matt and I were also able to do a direct-sun sighting of
Brewer #069 for Volodya, and I restarted the MAESTRO/SPS tracker, which
had crashed. All are working happily now.
With only today and tomorrow left for the intensive phase, we also
spent quite a bit of time today doing hand-overs. I am now happy with
running PARIS and at least know what to check for the GBS's! I hope
Cristen's fixes continue to work for me :-)
Pierre, Emily and Cristen also got out for a bit of a walk on the ridge line, making the most of the gorgeous weather.
The sonde launch tonight was beautiful, with clear skies giving wonderful sunset colors.
