It
definitely wasn't a good observing day today. Very thick clouds in the
morning let us stay at the station until brunch. After a great meal,
things were looking a bit clearer so we came up to the lab, where I
tried to take some FTS measurements. Unfortunately the changing cloud
conditions made it a fairly futile effort and I shut them up again
before 3. The UV-VIS instruments didn't seem to mind the thin clouds,
and all were behaving nicely throughout the day.
The skating rink (aka our water reservoir) got a bit more use tonight,
but the big cracks do tend to make it a bit of an adventure.
