It
wasn't quite so nice today. The wind was back up from the North, and
while not strong enough to stop me measuring, it was stirring up the
inversion layer and it was a chilly -35C with 15-20 knots of wind at
the lab all day. Above the layer of blown snow, thin clouds displaying
a distinctive wave-like pattern danced around the sun throughout the
day, but I got plenty of good FTS measurements before the clouds
thickened in the late afternoon. The UV-Vis instruments were also
behaving nicely, and I implemented a couple of log-file renaming
scripts that Yan had written for the GBSs.
Poker seems to have officially replaced Bingo as the Saturday night
sport here, with about 8 of us sitting down for a couple of games last
night. Sean and Donna were the big winners.
