March 23 2009

Another near-perfect day today, with completely clear skies throughout the day. All of the instruments worked well today, except for a problem with the Bruker scanner when I switched back from our CaF2 beamsplitter after making near infrared measurements late in the day. Fortunately we have excellent technical support from Bruker, and it is working happily again now.

It was another fairly quiet evening in Eureka - where these 35 people are hiding is a mystery to me! But a few of us got together and played some ping pong and some dice, so there were plenty of laughs to go round.
