I’ve felt very Canadian the last couple days with all this hockey playing,
hockey watching, and maple-syrup for breakfast. Last night (as we played
hockey on sea-ice) I even found myself commenting on how warm it was
outside. At -25C, it was 20 degrees warmer than last much of last year’s
campaign! Last night, we had a great time playing hockey, but things got
kind of dreary when we sat down to watch Canada play the USA. Fortunately,
there was chocolate mousse in the dessert fridge, which makes everything
better.
Other than some minor setbacks (both Felicia and I learned how annoying
double-threaded screws can be) we all had good productive days at the lab.
At PEARL, Rodica and Felicia worked on lab tests, Tom and Volodya worked
on SPS/Maestro, and I (with Paul’s help) installed the UT-GBS in its
hatch. At Opal, Zen installed the cooler and Emily removed the hatch
motor to set up the CANDAC RMR LIDAR with Pierre's help.
We have a sea-ice hockey rematch starting in 5 minutes so I’ve got to run!
