At PEARL today, Felicia took 43 PARIS-IR measurements, and continued
to improve the software. Rodica made measurements in both the Mid-IR
and Near-IR with the Bruker. Cristen took UT-GBS measurements, and
worked on shelving, data acquisition and software for the PEARL-GBS.
Tom and Volodya had a productive day, finalizing the script for the
Max-DOAS zenith-sky and direct sun measurements, which can now be done
automatically. They continued processing last year's data and started
on this year's. Their good hardware news is that the sun tracker woke
up as it was supposed to, but the UPS on the Brewer died.
At 0pal, Emily prepared equipment for installation of the new
thermostat and temperature modules for the CLR lab. Graeme (in
Halifax) continued to finalize the polarotor software for the
depolarization channel. Measurements were taken overnight, including
checks on the depolarization channel PMT. Zen spent the day turning
the E-AERI into a "de-AERI" by dismantling the instrument. The MR,
Agilent multimeter and stirling cooler were removed for transport back to the manufacturer after some final tests of the cooler's cold tip.
The day ended with a delicious cake in honour of Zen's birthday!
