Everything working smoothly

The team had a brighter and earlier start than they expected this morning. Upon arriving in the Eureka Weather Station's meal room for brunch at what they thought was 11:00 AM, the team noticed brunch wasn't yet available, and the analogue clock on the wall read "10:00". We had been tricked by our smartphones! We each believed we had manually set our phones not to be in a specific time zone, since Eureka does not observe daylight savings time. Every one of our phones decided otherwise, and changed their time (and our alarms) automatically to observe daylight savings time. We had a good laugh and an extra hour in our day.

We had great weather once again. The Eureka Weather Station temperature was -40°C; the PEARL Ridge Lab temperature was -20°C. More importantly, the sky was clear. Visibility was fantastic. We stopped at Upper Paradise briefly for a few photos on their way to the Ridge Lab.

Since today was Sunday, the team had a half-day at PEARL.

In the PEARL Ridge Lab's IR lab, Dan took 47 MIR measurements with the Bruker. Debora took 25 measurements with PARIS.

Paul re-started SPS and MAESTRO, which appeared to have lost tracking. They operated normally thereafter.

In the UV-Vis Lab, Xiaoyi solved the UDP connection timeout issue for the new suntracker laptop, with help from Yan (CANDAC network manager) and Steve (University of Toronto Department of Physics Computer Services Manager). PEARL-GBS and its suntracker are working fine with the new computer. UT-GBS, PEARL-GBS, and SAOZ are performing their normal measurements. The Sun now rises high enough for the PEARL-GBS to perform MAX-DOAS measurements automatically during mid-day.

Down at 0PAL, Chris ran the CRL for 24 hours. Emily analyzed a cloud from yesterday's data, and is working towards reconciling various calibration values.

Today's ACE ozonesonde flight occurred at 18:15 (local time) and reached an altitude of 31,410 m (7.0 hPa).
